Shy Crooner is a songwriter based in New York City. He is best known for his songwriting collaborations with Edwin Duke in The Crooner & Duke Revue.
Nick Lenchner and Bryan Schneider have collaborated on several musical projects together, this time performing as Shy Crooner & Edwin Duke. Combining Schneider's lyrical wit, versatile croon, and flatpicking guitar style with Lenchner's deft arrangements and emotive mastery of the upright bass, this duo draws on folk and blues traditions to create their own brand of American music that ranges from the deeply melancholy to the hilariously absurd.
Crooner & Duke have performed at a range of venues around NYC including Pianos, The Living Room, our friend Joel's loft, Brooklyn Experimental Song Revival, the First Avenue L Subway Stop, and the New Museum as part of Pawel Althemer’s current exhibition “The Neighbors”.
