Summer Children / Eleanor Elektra

Summer Children is a Contemporary Folk Project led by Aayushi Karnik on Guitar and Vocals. The Quartet plays music that comes out of Traditional Fiddle music, Jazz, Blues and Singer-songwriter tradition. Aayushi hails from a little town in India and moved to New York City in 2018 to pursue her education at Juilliard. She has been in the city since then writing and playing around. She has also played with musicians like Geoffrey Keezer and Christian McBride as a sidewoman.

Eleanor Elektra fuses elements of folk, jazz, pop and classical music in her idiosyncratic guitar playing and composition style. Her latest project, Exquisite Corpse explores topics of declining social and environmental systems and evokes artists such as Joni Mitchell, Aoife O'Donovan and Jesca Hoop.

Eleanor has toured extensively throughout the United States and Canada. She is based in Boston, MA and is a mainstay of the local music scene, performing at such venues as the House of Blues, the Lilypad, and Club Passim.
