The Acute

The Acute’s 2022 debut full length album, Alien Theatre, portrays a fresh, exciting electronic rock perspective by this NYC group. The band, formed in 2017, has developed a unique style of rock and roll (influences include the Velvet Underground, Stooges, and the Fall) while occasionally blending keyboards that speak to trap and underground rap music. Through stories, lyrical content, and stellar instrumentation. The two piece band features Viveca Butler, formerly singer-songwriter-drummer for Occultation, and Stephen Cacouris, in his first group on guitar. The album shows a band with rock and roll intent amidst ever-changing culture and society.
