Sparkly-witch-rock duo The Black Mariah Theater (Kansas City, MO), made up of twin sisters Sophia and Analiese, bring infectious energy on and off stage that captivates audiences with their tightness as a group and seasoned stage presence. With carefully crafted, mean-spirited lyrics on top of jazzy guitar and funky drums, The Black Mariah Theater melds multiple genres into one band; with live shows full of angst, attitude, and powerful sound, fit for more than a duo!
The Black Mariah Theater released their first EP in 2017, first full-length album in 2020, an acoustic EP in 2021, and just released their newest album, “Mean To Be Mean” July of 2023! They have toured across the US performing at music festivals and conferences, and opened for some of their favorite artists like Olivia Jean, The Velveteers, Laura Jane Grace, Thelma and the Sleaze, Low Cut Connie, Weakened Friends, and Kiss the Tiger!
