The Good Folks
The Good Folks are an indie collective hailing from New York City. Established in 2016 by high school best friends (and unofficial brothers), Clive Baird and Corey Powell, TGF pull from a diverse collection of influences, ranging from Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye to Jacob Banks and Dermot Kennedy, to develop their unique sound that encompasses a blend of traditional blues and soul melodies coupled with today’s modern approach to production.
TGF released their first EP, Vol. 1 in December 2016 followed by Vol. 2 in November 2018. Along with their second EP release came their first ever visual for crowd-favorite, “Leave Me (Alone).”
When they’re not writing and recording new music, you can find The Good Folks traveling the country in search of fried chicken and Philly cheesesteaks, or on their YouTube Channel eating spicy chocolate for charity.
