The Other Favorites

The Other Favorites are an indie folk duo based in Brooklyn, New York, that consists of Joshua Lee Turner and Carson McKee. They are perhaps best known for their performances on YouTube, which have garnered millions of views. A shared love of traditional bluegrass, folk, and classic rock music underpins their songwriting, which is distinguished by virtuosic guitar work, incisive lyricism, and tight vocal harmony. Their new album, Unamericana, explores a complicated relationship with the American identity.

Jane Willow is a Dublin-based Dutch-turned-Irish musician. She’s performed at Vicar Street, Whelan’s, Temple Bar Tradfest, Body & Soul and Electric Picnic. She’s opened for Glen Hansard, The Unthanks, Lisa Hannigan, Paddy Casey, Andy Irvine, Kíla, David Kitt, Aoife Scott and Mark Geary.

On her debut EP ‘Onward Still’ (Nov 2018) Jane collaborated with musicians Dave Hingerty (drums: Glen Hansard, Josh Ritter) and Vyvienne Long (cello: Damien Rice). In 2019 her single ‘The Fool’ reached the finals of Radio Nova Discovered with radio DJ Colm Hayes picking it as his favourite song.

Jane's debut album ‘Burn So Bright’ (out November 19th 2021) takes influences from Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake and Richard Hawley. It features Jane’s band and string quartet. With string arrangements by Joe Csibi (Head of RTE Concert Orchestra). With Dave Hingerty on drums (Glen Hansard, Josh Ritter) and guest performances by Steve Wickham (The Waterboys), Pat Byrne and more.
