Thin Lear

Thin Lear, the eclectic labor of love of songwriter Matt Longo, harkens back to the work of 70's-era studio obsessives, familiar and surprising in equal measure, like a face from a dream. The haunting, shimmering debut album, Wooden Cave, arrived on EggHunt Records (Lucy Dacus) in July 2020, receiving glowing reviews from NPR’s New Music Friday, AllMusic, KEXP, Bandcamp's New & Noteworthy, and PopMatters, who included the record in their Best Albums of the Year. Thin Lear is currently finishing up an EP with producer/songwriter Matthew E. White at Spacebomb in Richmond, as well as a sophomore full-length album with producer Matt Ross-Spang (Margo Price, The Mountain Goats) at Sam Phillips Recording Service.
