Y and I, is short for Yula and Isaac.
The duo is the natural evolution of Yula Beeri’s previous projects (Yula and The Extended Family, NaNuchka, World Inferno F.S., and more) with her life partner and husband Drummer Isaac Gardner. Y and I borrows elements from a palate of musical genres; world, punk, rock, funk, just to name a few.
The two weave textured vocals, loops and bass lines with tribal primal rhythms and the result is a well crafted, refreshing sound that, simply put, is nothing like you’ve heard before - Y and I are playing outside the BOX.
The duo launch their live performances with a monthly residency at LIC Bar, July 2019 and expected to release their first single This House, early 2020.
